Description:
The candidate for this position will be expected to develop applied research for Microbial biofilms relevant to the identified pathologies and consumer needs. This includes literature review/collaboration with CPWW/J&J scientific community on biofilm test systems. Assembly of equipment and bacterial cultures relevant to creating an in-vitro biofilm. Testing of components and formulations. Entering all data/ information in notebook format. Writing new methods/publications.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Microbiology or related field is required. Knowledge of Biofilms is a must in this role. Strong academic background and good understanding of Microbiology, Biological Science and Applied Theory, especially in the field of Biofilms Communities. Good working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Good basic understanding of human oral cavity flora and knowledge of associated infectious disease states. The candidate must be self-motivated, energetic, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will need to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually.
